Fellows of the Institute witnessed a smooth transition from the outgoing Acting Director, Professor Francis Dodoo to the incoming Director, Professor Tsikata. It was occasion for Prof. Dodoo to speak about his one- year tenure as IAS Head, and to receive comments as well as answer questions from the Fellows.
Professor Dzodzi Akuyo Tsikata is the new Director of the Institute of African Studies.
The new Director, who assumed office on Monday, August 1, 2016 is an Associate Professor in the University, and currently the President, Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA).
